Larry Wagner’s portrait book of Mendocino Coast artists is evidence that Fort Bragg is beginning to take its place next to Mendocino as an “art colony.” In fact, artist-residents of Mendocino regularly display their work in Fort Bragg and visa versa. The “art colony” of Mendocino proclaimed by Life Magazine in the 60’s is now, in reality, a Mendocino Coast art colony. A story on Fort Bragg’s growing art community is featured at the travel website PostcardsForYou.com.
