Friend, didn’t there used to be an annual pet parade in Mendocino? I have searched and can’t find it.

Regards, Jim

The annual pet parade I believe Jim Smith from Fair Oaks, CA was referring to is the Paul Bunyun Days parade. And the dogs are winners of the annual “Ugliest Dog Contest” with catergories such as prettiest, smartest, look a like, smallest, largest, ugliest, etc.

David,

Yes, the fireworks in Fort Bragg will be on Saturday night, July 3. The fireworks are aimed out over Noyo Harbor, and parking is pretty straightforward. It’s as child-friendly as noisy bright explosions can be…. :) You can find out more on the Chamber Web site at http://www.mendocinocoast.com.
