Artist Profile: Donna Jensen Burke, Painter
Donna, a Mendocino and Los Altos resident and retired physical therapist, is an enthusiastic artist who loves painting life. Her exposure to the village charm and ruggedness of the north coast has inspired her to capture impressions in oil and, more recently, pastel seeking to intensify color harmonies.
Her goal is to establish, between the painting and the viewer, that emotional connection which sparks a memory, a time, a place, a desire, a mood, to be savored over and over.
Donna is a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Mendocino Art Center and paints with the Plein Air Painters of Mendocino and the Mendocino Portrait Guild. She is a contributing artist annually to Winesong! and Rotary Auctions.
Currently Showing: Prentice Gallery south of Fort Bragg, and Highlight Gallery on Main Street in the Village of Mendocino.
