After a lifetime of interest in art, she began painting watercolors in 1998. She has studied with some noted artists, including Beety Saarni, Nancy Collins, and Patricia Osborne. She moved to Mendocino, California in 2001 to pursue her love of painting in this very inspiring environment.

Her work has received many awards.

Currently, she is on the board of the Mendocino Art Center handling exhibits. She is an active member of the Artists Co-op of Mendocino and Edgewater Gallery.

“I am very much in awe of our local landscape! I try to capture feelings inspired by the curves of the hills, the profusion of flora, the lushness of the vineyards, and the drama of the coastline. I can’t seem to do this by painting just what is seen, so I abstract it a bit.”

Currently Showing: In the Mendocino Coast area, her work may be seen at Edgewater Gallery (707-964-4668), the Mendocino Art Center (707-937-5818), the Artists Co-op of Mendocino (707-937-2217), Prentice Gallery, Stevenswood Resort and Spa, and La Petite Rive restaurant in Little River. She is also showing work at North Bay Galleries in the California Wine Country towns of Sonoma and Yountville.
