“Helen” performed by Mendocino Theatre Company
—Posted Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 at 7:30 pm—
On Wednesday, November 9, there will be a special reading of “Helen,” one of “ The Greek Plays” written by playwright and actress Ellen Mc Laughlin. These plays are her own versions or interpretations of Euripedes original plays based on the Greek myths.
“Helen,” was first performed at The Public Theater in New York City in 2002. This is a delightfully humorous and beautifully written piece of work dealing with the devastating effects of war and also the ideas generated by the perfection of beauty in womankind. Helen is at the center of it all.
Helen Schoeni Theater, Little Lake Street, Mendocino. $5 suggested donation. Information and Box Office: 707-937-4477
