Bay Area Photographers Collective Exhibit at the Mendocino Art Center
Mendocino, CA - The Mendocino Art Center will showcase the photography of the Bay Area Photographers Collective, November 4-18, in the Main Gallery. The exhibit, titled “Landscape Revisited,” represents a revisiting of the landscape’s exalted status in photography, a much heavily traversed territory, with 18 Bay Area artists providing a decidedly unique vision to the subject.
The participating BAPC artists are: Rebecca Chang, Tom De Carlo, Adrienne Defendi, Alan George, Beth Kientzle, Eric Larson, Deborah Lattimore, Tom Lavin, Art Levit, Donna Levreault, Erin Malone, Charlotte Niel, Heather Polley, Ari Salomon, Angelika Schilli, Kay Taneyhill, Kirk Thompson and Gloria Upchurch.
The Bay Area Photographers Collective is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 to support and encourage emerging fine-art photographers by creating a community of artists working together and helping one another. By pooling resources, the organization provides members with professional artist development through artist talks, portfolio reviews, critiques, workshops, slide presentations, aesthetic salons and exhibition opportunities. Visit their website at www.bapc.info.
