Hello,
Thank you for such exqusite photos of some of the amazing flowers at the MBG. They bring back lovely memories for me! I loved to visit the gardens when my mom was well as she was raised with a “proper” British garden, complete with a shrubbery maze as well as flowers almost as tall as the house. Now as she is in the moderate phase of Alzheimer’s, my two sisters and I are caring for Mom in her home in Los Angeles. This was a visual vacation for me - thank you!
During my last visit to the area I noticed a tall, pink flower that I thought was called the “Fairy’s Wand” but I’ve been unable to locate it. Could you please provide some guidance? The work you do has much value on many levels - thank you! All the best, Joan

Thanks, Joan. I love shooting at the Gardens — a large section of my hard drive is now devoted to images from there!

I’ll ask some gardener friends or someone at the Botanical Gardens if they know more about the Fairy’s Wand (or whatever it turns out to be).
