Fensalden Bed & Breakfast Inn, Albion
Fensalden was a stage stop during the 1850′s. It was also once a brothel, during which time one of the ladies of the night, Elzabeth (sp correct), made the mistake of falling in love with one of her clients. Her heart was broken, when he rebuffed her offer, and she went up to the attic and pined away.
MacCallum House Inn, Mendocino
On the second floor is where Daisy’s son Donald slept. Donald was born in 1880 and was Daisy’s first child. It is town lore that Donald’s spirit still lives on in this space.
Mendocino Hotel And Garden Suite, Mendocino
The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites opened in 1878 as the Temperance House in the lively logging town. It’s said that a Victorian woman’s face appears in the mirrors in the dining room, and she has been seen in various guest rooms. She has also been known to play tricks on the hotel staff.
The Grey Whale Inn, Fort Bragg
This 1915 building once served as the Redwood Hospital in Fort Bragg. The inn is said to be haunted by a woman who roams the garden areas, as well as a man who has often been seen peering from the windows.
The Lodge at Noyo River, Fort Bragg
Atop the bluff above Noyo Harbor, this inn was built in the 1860s, and has been the site of hundreds of ghost sightings in its century-plus of welcoming guests. It is said to be haunted by four ghosts, three women and one man.
