In the summer of 2009 I brought a French teenage girl to Ricochet Ridge Ranch. Her dream was to trailride on the beach and in the Redwood forest. Lari arranged a private guide and a beautiful, willing horse. I joined them one day and was amazed by the quality of the horses, the attention to safety and the dramatic, varied scenery. Lari later sent us a souvenir dvd of photos. I thought that was most considerate. We are hoping to return soon. Shela Greenlaw and Claire Bonnefous

Riding at Ricochet Ridge Ranch with Lari Shea for a week on every inch of 10 Mile Beach and the virgin forests of spectacular Mendocino Coast didn't change my life. I wanted to be taller and younger when it was over. However, it did make my life fuller and richer for having done so. It is an ideal vacation, even for someone who is not sure which end of a horse eats. Treasuring the pristine environment aboard champion horses for a week made each day an indescribable and unique adventure. The ride is a safety first for rider and horse experience. Lari instills confidence while subtely helping to improve every particapant's skill. My horse, Nikita was brilliant. He was balanced, knew his job perfectly, willing and responsive to my every request. (He even smelled better and was smarter than most of my friends and all of the lawyers I know.) Our small group gelled immediately and shared sweaters and medication by the second day. I have ridden horses all over the world and will definitely come to Ricochet Ridge Ranch to ride the phenominal Mendocino Coast with Lari Shea again and again.

I was a guest on Lari Shea's Redwood Coast Riding Vacation at Ricochet Ridge Ranch in September, 2000. I came here from New York City to ride on beautiful beaches and through magnificent redwoods forests, on the back of a great horse. What Lari promised, she delivered. The horses are amazing athletes, the scenery magical. I was so impressed, I asked her for a job, and moved here six months later to work at Ricochet. I'm still here, riding those incredible beaches, and through these majestic forests. A horse named Virshima started it all. Thanks, Lari, and Ricochet Ridge Ranch, for changing my life and making many of my dreams come true.
