Marlene,

That's a great idea... I'll have to do something like that. Here are some places off the top of my head:

Patterson's Pub, Mendocino: they have sports on the TV, too. Locals and visitors mix.
Mendocino Hotel Bar: they have a great bar in a Victorian setting, and bar food is available.
Little River Inn: they have a great ocean-view bar, adjacent to the restaurant, with bar food.
Piaci's Pizza, Fort Bragg: extensive collection of micro-brewed beers, great pizza
North Coast Brewery, Fort Bragg: their bar serves all of their different beers, with great bar food
Headlands Coffee Shop, Fort Bragg: espresso drinks, snacks, live music many nights. Lots of kids and locals hang out here.
Caspar Inn, Caspar: they have live music on the weekends
Ledford House, Albion: in addition to the restaurant, they have a fabulous ocean view in their bar

This list will get you relaxed enough, and I'll work on a more comprehensive guide.

This is a really nice site. We are coming up for a stay and it's super to have an alternative guide to things to do. Have you thought of adding a few places to "hang out," have a cocktail, a glass, etc.?
