Here are some activities that occur on a regular (usually weekly or monthly) basis.

MONDAYS

WEDNESDAYS

  • (Every Wednesday) Fort Bragg Rotary Club : meets at noon at the North Coast Brewing Company Restaurant in Fort Bragg.
  • (Every Wednesday) Fort Bragg Farmers Market : From 3:30 until 6 pm.
  • (Third Wednesday) Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens: Early Bird Walk. Audubon Society tour at 8:00 a.m.

THURSDAYS

  • (Every Thursday) Mendocino Rotary Club : meets at noon at Rick’s Restaurant in Mendocino.
  • (Every Thursday) Travel Journal Sketching Class : DROP IN classs with Suzi Marquess Long, Artist at The World of Suzi Long, 611 Albion Street, Mendocino – in the beautiful watertower! 707-937-LONG (5664) Drop in from 10 to 11:30 for only $35. Paint, small sketchbooks, and permanent ink pens available for sale in the gallery.

FRIDAYS

  • (Every Friday) Mendocino Farmers Market : From noon until 2 pm.
  • (Every Friday) Travel Journal Sketching Class : DROP IN classs with Suzi Marquess Long, Artist at The World of Suzi Long, 611 Albion Street, Mendocino – in the beautiful watertower! 707-937-LONG (5664) Drop in from 10 to 11:30 for only $35.   • (Every Friday) Guided, historic walk through the Village of Mendocino starting at the Kelley House Museum, 45007 Albion St., Mendocino, 1:00 p.m. May through September. Approximately 2 hours, $10 per person, 707-937-5791.
  • (First Friday) Arts & Shopping : Galleries and businesses open their doors on Main, Laurel, and Franklin Streets in Downtown Fort Bragg with public receptions for exhibiting artists. For information call 707-964-0807

SATURDAYS

  • (Every Saturday) Garden Bloom Walks : March to October @ 1:30 p.m. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.
  • (Every Saturday) Marine Mammal Programs: California State Parks free, interpretive programs through September 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., 1 1/2 hours, at the MacKerricher Visitor Center. Learn about harbor seals, sea lions, and the California gray whale. MacKerricher State Park is located along California’s north coast on Highway 1, 3 miles north of the city of Fort Bragg. Day use admission is free. Open seven days a week for day use from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

  • (Third Saturday) Gardens Workshop Series : Selected Topics, March to October @ 10 a.m. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens.

SUNDAYS

  • (Every Sunday at 11 AM, June through September) Guided Walks at Point Cabrillo Light Station & Nature Preserve: Free. See the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse and marine wildlife exhibit and view the site of the Frolic shipwreck, as well as watching wildlife on this 300-acre preserve. Meet at the Visitor Center in the parking area adjacent to Point Cabrillo Drive. Call 707 937-6122 for information.
